The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) is a national organization founded in Kingston, Ontario in 1941 and now headquartered in Vancouver. The FCA has nine chapters throughout BC and Alberta and a permanent gallery on Granville Island in Vancouver: Federation Gallery.

The Victoria Chapter, with approximately 125 members serves the south end of Vancouver Island and endeavors to provide participants with an organization through which they can share ideas, learn and grow as artists. The Victoria Chapter includes notables such as Robert Bateman, Dorothy Oxborough, David Goatley, Catherine Moffat, Clement Kwan, Marney Ward and Anne Hudec.

Monthly meetings feature art demonstrations, critiques, and guest speakers chosen for their expertise in aspects relating to a career in the arts.

The Chapter also offers workshops by outstanding artists, open to members and their guests.

Twice a year, the Chapter holds shows that are juried by FCA Signature Members. (Signature Members have been juried to “signature status” by achieving and maintaining work of professional standard).
The Victoria Chapter meets at the Windsor Park Pavilion in Oak Bay, at 2445 Windsor Road. Meetings start at 7:00pm and finish at approximately 9:00 pm. Meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month with the exception of December.
