Keremeos and District Arts Council, Keremeos

The Purpose of the Council is to increase and broaden opportunities for the enjoyment of and participation in art and cultural activities in Keremeos and the surrounding area.

- To encourage participation and excellence in arts, culture and heritage.
- To provide, when possible, financial and advisory assistance to groups and
individuals.
- To organize, hold and spearhead Art, Cultural and Heritage events for the enjoyment and education of the community
- To circulate information to members about cultural activities and opportunities.
- To work cooperatively with other agencies concerned with cultural activities.
- To bring to the attention of civic and provincial authorities the cultural needs of the community.
- To stimulate public interest in the visual, written and performing arts as well as promoting Culture and Heritage.
- To provide facilities, when possible, for the use and benefit of the arts, cultural and heritage groups of the Keremeos Area.
