Vancity Call to Artists, Lower Mainland, BC

Monday, May 26th, 2014:
Thanks to great community feedback from the artist community Vancity is now extending the current Call to Artists to all artists and artist teams living within the Lower Mainland. We now invite all artists to apply who can reflect the Richmond community through their work. We have two upcoming artist information sessions on June 3rd and June 7th.

We're building a new branch in Richmond on the corner of No. 2 Road and Blundell to better serve our members in the City of Richmond. This new branch project includes two art calls designed to engage the local art community as an integral part of the branch?s identity. Through these art calls, Vancity will select two pieces of artwork, one art commission and one existing acquisition, for separate interior walls within the branch. Vancity's Art Selection Committee comprises of staff from our brand experience and facility planning teams, as well as branch staff and a Vancity member. The call for submissions will stay open until Wednesday, June 18, 2014 for mailed submissions and Friday, June 20, 2014 for digital submissions.

- Tuesday, June 3, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
- Saturday, June 7th, 4:00pm - 5:30 pm
