British Columbia Travel Guide
The unofficial BC Travel & Tourism Guide

Esquimalt is divided from parts of the city by “the Gorge”, a stretch of water which is easily traveled by kayak, canoe or small boat from the Victoria’s inner harbour. This waterway is lined by homes, apartments and park grounds where it is possible to stop and picnic.

Esquimalt offers waterfront RV parks that face Victoria city views of the inner harbour and along the shore line to the cruise ship terminal. From most south eastern waterfront parks in this area showcase evening city lights that are really a treat. Enjoy walking from downtown Victoria to Esquimalt along the shoreline walkway known as the Songhees.
